Bainville’s spring sports athletes have earned recognition on the academic all state team. The high school track team had an overall grade point average of 3.69 while the golf team’s overall grade point average was 3.56. The Frontier Days schedule kicks o with rodeo action Friday, June 12, at the Culbertson Saddle Club Arena, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Events will include bull riding, calf roping, bareback, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, ladies breakaway, junior barrels, junior breakaway, senior mens breakaway and womens ranch bronc riding. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks biologists completed 2026 spring aerial surveys of deer population trends across Region 6 in northeastern Montana. The surveys indicate general increases in most districts. Every year, Region 6 wildlife biologists conduct aerial surveys across 11 deer trend areas across the region to assess mule deer population trends in total observations and fawn recruitment

Culbertson’s track athletes came through with a banner day at the District 2C track meet held in Lambert on Tuesday, May 12. The Cowboys cruised to the team title with 186 points. Bainville placed second with 144 points and Savage took third with 86 points. In the girls’ division, defending state champion Richey/Lambert claimed first with 157 points. Culbertson earned second with 97 points
