The Bainville Bulldogs had their backs against the wall, but they came through in the final set for a hard-fought conference victory over Richey/Lambert on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Bainville won the senior night match by a final margin of 25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 16-25, 1512. We pulled out a tough one on an emotional night for the girls. The Culbertson Cowboys were unsuccessful in trying to slow down top-ranked Scobey on Saturday, Oct. 11. The visiting Spartans took a 40-0 half-time lead and defeated Culbertson by a 46-6 final. Defensive plays by Culbertson’s Kaden Featherston, Micah Eagle Boy and Brooks Solem held Scobey on its first possession, but the Spartans drove 46 yards on their second drive. Culbertson’s volleyball squad came back to win an exciting five-set conference match over Froid/Lake on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The Cowgirls posted a 1625, 24-26, 25-18, 25-12, 15-7, league victory. In the fifth and deciding set, Culbertson opened with an ace by Ayden Ator. The Red Hawks tied the score on a kill by Atley Jensen.
