The Culbertson Cowboys delivered big plays on both sides of the ball Saturday, forcing five turnovers and defeating the Forsyth Doggies 47-38 in a hardfought road contest. Quarterback Brooks Solem led the Cowboys’ oense, accounting for eight touchdowns. Solem carried the ball 35 times for 221 yards and four touchdowns while completing 11 of 15 passes for 193 yards and four more scores.

After a strong first-half performance, the Froid/Lake Red Hawks dropped their road football game against Richey/Lambert by a 66-45 final on Friday, Sept. 4.
