Medicine Lake will serve as the site for the Big Muddy baseball tournament this week. Games start on Thursday, June 18. First-round games in the major league will feature top-seeded Scobey facing Culbertson at 2 p.m. and Plentywood taking on Medicine Lake/Froid at 4 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 21. The minor league tournament will begin at 6 p.m.

Bainville’s spring sports athletes have earned recognition on the academic all state team. The high school track team had an overall grade point average of 3.69 while the golf team’s overall grade point average was 3.56. The Frontier Days schedule kicks o with rodeo action Friday, June 12, at the Culbertson Saddle Club Arena, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Events will include bull riding, calf roping, bareback, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, ladies breakaway, junior barrels, junior breakaway, senior mens breakaway and womens ranch bronc riding.
