Bainville’s boys’ basketball team gained a big lead in the first half against a cold-shooting Culbertson team and defeated the Cowboys, 52-45, on Friday, Feb. 13. Bainville Girls Down Culbertson, 60-46


The Bainville Bulldogs slowly pulled away to beat Culbertson, 60-46, in District 2C girls’ basketball action on Friday, Feb. 13. The Cowgirls put together a strong effort on senior night and held a 23-21 halftime advantage. A three-point play by Emma Berwick provided Culbertson with a 33-32 lead with 2:30 remaining in the third quarter, but Bainville then struck for six consecutive points

Brockton Defeats Bainville Boys, 72-43


Brockton’s boys’ basketball team downed Bainville by a 72-43 final on Saturday. The Warriors jumped out to a 22-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 30-18 half-time advantage. After a close start to the District 2C contest, Brockton’s girls’ basketball team broke away for a 65-42 victory in Culbertson on Thursday, Feb. 5. Brockton led 10-7 at the end of the opening quarter, but the Cowgirls pulled even, 13-13, on baskets by Emma Berwick, Anna Steppler and Payton Labatte.
