Salmon Derby Successful In Fort Peck


The inaugural Fort Peck Tournament Of Kings salmon fishing tournament is in the books. Winners of the $10,000 top prize for day one were David, Daniel and Benjamin Milam with 27.10 pounds. Jamie Dolen, Laura Dolen and Jessy Johnson took second with 25.35 pounds and Jody and Kathy Goodman took third with 24.95 pounds. Lady Wolves Enjoy Good Summer


The Lady Wolves’ basketball team finished up its summer offseason Wednesday night with two scrimmages vs Lustre. And boy was it a hot one in the gym with temp around 100 degrees outside all day. It wasn’t your run of the mill “varsity” vs “varsity” type of evening. Both teams ran split squads in the first game of two. Split squads meaning younger players were mixed with older players.

Area Athletes Take Part In Blount Run


A good turnout participated in the sixth annual Harold “Dean” Blount memorial run in Frazer on Saturday morning. The field included five runners for the 10K event, eight participants in the 5K run and more than 35 individuals in the one mile run/walk. Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers was the winner in the 10K with a time of 35:09. Sierra Summers ran the 10K course in 40:06. She was
