Thinking back on the recent school year, it was a time of great runs by area sports teams. Watching Culbertson’s football team was exciting to watch for most of 2024. Highlights included a hardfought victory at Scobey and a home win over Circle. It was also fun to watch the Cowboys dominate action as they stopped Ennis in the first round of the playoffs by a 42-6 final. Culbertson exploded

The Culbertson Cowboys and Bainville Bulldogs each came away with medals from the Class C state track meet held in Missoula. Culbertson’s sophomore Brooks Solem placed second in the javelin with a mark of 164-06. Solem cleared 6-2 in the high jump for sixth-place honors. Elvsaas Earns All-State Honors At Class C Meet


Froid/Lake golfer Addison Elvsaas had been to the Class C state golf tournament two previously times, but what she accomplished in Sidney on Wednesday, May 21, was a great first experience for her. The recent high school graduate shot a 95 on the second day of the tournament to finish in the top 15. The showing earned her All-State honors. After having a disappointing 110 on the first day

Culbertson’s Destiny Thompson enjoyed her best track performance of the season during the National Junior College Athletic Association D1 Outdoor Championships held in Hutchinson, Kan. Thompson, a freshman at Dawson Community College, posted a personal best of 1251 to take ninth place in the javelin.
