The Bainville Bulldogs must like the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs broke open a close football game with 22 points in the final period to knock off Absarokee, 30-6, on Saturday, Sept. 10. Lustre Team Scores Victory

The Lustre Lions won one of their two league volleyball matches last week. The Lions knocked off Brockton in a conference match on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Lustre then fell in Savage on Friday, Sept. 9. During the tournament in Scobey on Saturday, Sept. 10, the Lions dropped their opening two matches against Poplar and Wolf Point. The Lions will travel to Plentywood on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The Culbertson/Bainville cross country boys’ team took fourth in the boys’ standings at the Scobey Invitational on Friday, Sept. 9. Culbertson/Bainville finished with 27 points. Culbertson’s volleyball team rolled to a straight set home victory over Nashua on Thursday, Sept. 8. The Cowgirls posted a 258, 25-10, 25-14, win over their conference opponent. Culbertson used the strong serving of Koree Marchwick and net play of Destiny Thompson to jump out to a 7-0 lead in the first set. Kills by Makena Hauge and an ace by Perla Burciaga increased the margin to 11-5.
