The council approved Resolution No. 2026-4, creating a Large Taxpayer Reserve Fund. Clerk LeAnn Johnson explained that the fund would be used only if Froid loses a major taxpayer.
Johnson also reported that the town received its final American Rescue Plan Act funding payment and that the grant has been closed.
Council members reviewed delinquent water, sewer and garbage accounts. Letters will be mailed to customers on the list.
During public comments, property owner Cathy Rudolph said she discovered small holes in a window at one of her Main Street properties. She said the damage may have been caused by a BB gun, although she did not know when it occurred.
Resident Tara Madsen also asked the council what could be done about dogs running loose around town. Madsen said she has contacted the Sheri #8217;s O_ce several times about the issue. Crain said a public reminder about Froid’s leash law may help. She also plans to contact the Sheri #8217;s O_ce for advice on how residents should respond to dogs running at large.
