Roosevelt County Sheri_’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheri #8217;s O_ce responded to 108 cases between Sept. 14-21.

The calls included the following: Sept. 14

Deputies received a report by a female in Brockton that she was being chased by individuals carrying weapons. She told deputies that the people were out to get her. She pointed at people on a porch and she pointed at the ground. Marlana Black Dog, 30, was charged with disorderly conduct and making a false or harassing report to law enforcement.

Sept. 15

Deputies responded to the Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson on a report of an adult female in the parking lot who was trying to get into other people’s vehicles. Deputies couldn’t locate the female.

Sept. 16

Deputies were called to the Fort Peck Tribal Court in Poplar where two individuals were just sentenced. A deputy took one of the individuals to tribal jail.

Deputies responded to Culbertson’s city limits for a tra_c/property fixed object crash. The incident involved a gas pump’s awning.

Sept. 18

At 12:30 a.m., deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice responded to tribal housing in Poplar at King’s Hill where a reporting party said there were a series of gun shots. A male was yelling and was hit by a round. The wounded male was taken to the hospital. The suspect wasn’t located.

Sept. 19

Deputies responded to a location near Opportunity Bank in Wolf Point for a report of a potentially injured duck. Tribal Fish, Wildlife and Parks was notified. A citizen helped catch the bird and put it in a cage. O_cials mentioned putting the duck in a lake.

Sept. 22

Deputies received a report of a small fire on Highway 405 near Froid. The reporting party said someone started the fire near the road. The reporting party extinguished the fire himself.
