Bulldogs Fall To Terry

Bainville’s boys’ basketball team lost its home opener against Terry by a 60-33 final on Friday, Dec. 19.
Baskets by Parker Berwick and Kaiden Holmes kept the Bulldogs close early, but Terry ended the first quarter with a drive by Milo Sackman and two free throws by Logan Murr for a 16-8 lead.
The Bulldogs fought back to 16-15 with the first seven points of the second period. After a running shot by Rowan Wilson, Holden Salivar scored on a nice spin move off a steal by Wilson. A threepoint play by Berwick cut the gap to 16-15 with 5:58 left in the half.
Terry, however, responded with the next nine points to gain a 10-point advantage.
The Terriers held a 25-18 half-time lead and then struck for the first eight points of the third quarter on the scoring of Murr and Ethan Meidinger.
Two hoops by Wilson and a drive by Berwick closed the margin to 33-24, but Terry finished the quarter up by a 39-24 score.
Terry put the contest away with the first 10 points including eight by Meidinger of the fourth quarter for a 49-24 advantage.
Wilson and Berwick led the Bulldogs with 12 points each. Also scoring were Evan Anderson with four, Salivar with three and Kaiden Holmes with two.
Leading Terry were Meidinger with 15 and Sackman with 10 points.
