Brockton’s boys’ basketball team stepped up in the second half to edge Culbertson, 64-55, at home on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Cowboys trailed 19-16 at the end of the first quarter, but the score was deadlocked at 30-30 at the half. Brockton scored 16 points in the third period for a 4641 advantage. The Bainville Bulldogs swept basketball contests against Richey/Lambert in District 2C action on Friday, Jan. 31. Bainville’s boys posted a 51--33 victory over the Fusion. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 16-8 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 26-16 at the half. After holding a 38-26 lead at the end of the third period, the Bulldogs tallied 13 more points in the fourth period.
