Jordan’s Kelly Murnion was the winner in two events during the Frontier Days’ rodeo held in Culbertson. Murnion earned first in bareback riding with a score of 126. As the school year ends, I think how exciting of a time it was covering sports for our area teams these past several months. One thing that stands out in my mind is that our area athletes simply never give up. That determination was most evident during the football season when the Froid/Lake Red Hawks accomplished an amazing 79-75 quarter-final playoff victory against Chester/Joplin/Inverness.

Froid/Lake’s Mason Dethman and Bainville’s Elsie Wilson each earned All-State honors during the Class C state track meet in Great Falls during the weekend.
