The Bainville Bulldogs posted several volleyball victories as they tied for fifth place at the Scobey Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14. After opening the tournament with a victory over Wibaux, the Bulldogs dropped a tough match against Scobey by a 25-17, 16-25, final. Culbertson Competes At Tournament


The Culbertson Cowgirls enjoyed a good measure of success during the 14-team Scobey Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14. The Cowgirls competed in pool A of the volleyball tournament. Culbertson finished with a 2-2 record. After falling to Froid/Lake to open the tournament, the Cowgirls bounced back with a solid victory over Lustre Christian. Culbertson then downed Wibaux, 25-15, 25-9.

After both teams kept exchanging points in the first half, the Bainville Bulldogs took control in the second half for a 75-39 conference football victory over Froid/ Lake on Saturday, Sept. 7. The Red Hawks held a 2520 lead until Bainville’s Rowan Wilson hit Isaiah Bjorge with a 26-yard touchdown pass with 4:15 remaining in the second quarter.
