The Culbertson Cowboys lost at home against league leader Plentywood by a 72-24 final on Saturday, Jan. 25. The Wildcats gained an 18-1 advantage during the first quarter of action. Plentywood added 23 more points in the second quarter for a 41-12 half-time margin. The Wildcats outscored the Cowboys by a 20-10 margin in the third quarter. Gavin Deen scored 10 points to lead the Cowboys.

Bainville’s girls’ basketball squad fought off Savage by a 40-31 margin at home on Saturday, Jan. 25. The Bulldogs led by a 1716 half-time margin and increased the gap to 23-16. Savage, however, came back to close the margin to 25-22 at the end of the third quarter. After the Warriors pulled to a 29-29 deadlock, Bainville gained a 31-29 lead on a basket by Elsie Wilson with 3:26 remaining.

Starting in 2025-2026, the Eastern C will consist of 19 schools including division newcomers Ekalaka, Jordan, Plevna, Broadus, Terry and Wibaux.
