Despite being low on numbers, Poplar’s football team turned in a solid effort in its season-opening 28-12 loss at home against Harlem on Saturday, Aug. 27. Wolf Point’s volleyball team opened its season by winning four matches at the Choteau tournament during the weekend. The Lady Wolves defeated Ennis, 42-37, Shelby, 42-33, Cut Bank, 42-28 and Cut Bank again by a 42-27 final. Wolves Prepare For Season Opener With Scrimmage

The Wolf Point football team tuned up for the regular season with the maroon and white scrimmage on Thursday, Aug. 25. “I was pleased with the overall effort and how they came out to play,” Wolf Point coach Anthony Red Cloud said after the scrimmage. He noted there were many good plays both offensively and defensively. The Wolves will open their season at Baker on Friday, Sept. 2.
