Summers Leads Way In Great Falls

 

The Wolf Point Wolves saw excellent results from some of their top athletes during track action in Great Falls on Saturday, April 30.

Wolf Point’s boys scored 37 points to tie with Conrad for fourth place at the meet. The top three teams were Manhattan Christian with 103.4, Belt with 101 and Chinook with 53.2 points.

The Lady Wolves tallied 12 points. Topping the girls’ standings with Glasgow with 87 points, Conrad with 83.5 and Manhattan Christian with 53 points.

Peyton Summers came away with three first-place finishes for another outstanding meet to lead the Wolves.

The junior accounted for personal records in both the 800 (2:02.76) and 1600 (4:33.82). He finished first in the 3200 with a time of 10:29.65.

Juliun Benson placed fourth in the 100 at 11.58 seconds and fifth in the 400 at 53.82 seconds.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Kraven Silk, Preston Swenson, Maddox Reum and Benson earned sixth place with a time of 46.18 seconds.

Katelyn MacDonald led Wolf Point’s girls with two strong performances.

The senior earned first place in the javelin with a mark of 110-5. She placed fifth in the shot put with a best of 31-7.

Wolf Point will host a meet on Friday, May 5.
