Poplar’s girls’ basketball team put together a fantastic comeback, but the Indians fell just short against Glasgow, 56-53, at home on Friday, Feb. 2. Urdahl Retires From Army

Urdahl Retires From Army


Sgt. First Class Lewis Urdahl has recently retired from the U.S. Army, after serving 20 years. He is the son of Doug and Sandie Urdahl. Lewis, a native of Froid, served as a combat engineer and jumpmaster with a parachutist badge. He made 67 jumps. During that time, he was deployed to Iraq for one year and Afghanistan for three one-year tours. The last tour was on the Afghan/ Pakistan border.
