Lustre Wins 3C Championship


The Lustre Christian Lions repeated as the District 3C boys’ basketball champions with an impressive 55-39 victory over Scobey on Saturday, Feb. 17. The Lions led for almost the entire game. With the score deadlocked at 6-6, the Lions went ahead to stay when Cam Reddig fired in a three-pointer. A fast-break basket by Johnslee Pierre put Lustre ahead 11-6 at the end of the opening quarter.

Lustre’s boys’ basketball team advanced into the district championship game with a 50-33 semi-final round victory over Circle on Thursday, Feb. 15. Bulldogs Score Victory Over Savage


A fast start helped the Bainville Bulldogs punch a ticket to the divisional tournament and a berth in the district championship game when Bainville’s girls downed Savage by a 44-35 final on Thursday, Feb. 15. It was the first time that the Bulldogs qualified for the Eastern C girls’ basketball tournament since 2006 and the first time the Bulldogs made the district title game since 1998.
