Cowboys Stop Scobey, 16-8
Culbertson’s defense stood strong as the Cowboys stopped Scobey, 16-8, in Class C football action on Thursday, Sept. 14.
The hometown Cowboys struck first in the league game after Reese Moon intercepted a pass to end Scobey’s first possession. A 28-yard dash by Moon earned Culbertson a first down at the Scobey 16.

Cowgirls Fight Off Lustre In Conference Volleyball Play
In an emotional roller- coaster type of volleyball match, Culbertson edged Lustre in five sets on Saturday, Sept. 16. The Cowgirls won by a 25-16, 25-11, 19-25, 1225, 15-9 final.
During the first set, a kill and four aces by Destiny Thompson led Culbertson to a 14-6 advantage. Aces by Ayden Ator and a spike by Mariana Burciaga increased the margin to 18-7.

Goodbird Finishes First In Circle
The Frazer Bearcubs earned third place in the team standings for the boys’ division during the Circle Invitational cross-country meet held on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
The Bearcubs finished with 49 points. Scobey topped the standings with 34 points.
Frazer’s Jarvis Goodbird ran to the individual title with a time of 18:44.99.
Cassius Smoker took 19th place at 23:12.06.

Bainville’s offensive attack got going early as the Bulldogs rolled to a 45-0 home football victory over Plevna on Saturday, Sept. 16.
After a sack by Bainville’s Samuel Butikofer forced Plevna to punt from its end zone on its first possession, Charles Butikofer returned the punt 12 yards to the Cougars’ 26.
