Culbertson lost both ends of a home basketball double- header against Plentywood on Saturday, Dec. 16.

The Cowgirls fell by a 4534 final.

Plentywood gained a lead of 13-7 in the first quarter and increased the margin to 29-14 at the half.

Trailing by a 39-20 margin entering the fourth quarter, the Cowgirls scored 14 points in the final period.

Ayden Ator scored 11 points for the Cowgirls. Destiny Thompson and Mariana Burciaga added seven points each.

Also scoring for Culbertson were Leandra Perkins with four, Ivy Colvin with three, Emma Berwick with one and Payton Labatte with one point.

Mallory Tommerup accounted for 19 of Plentywood’s points. In the boys’ game, Plentywood posted a 65-23 victory.

The Wildcats took a 16-8 lead in the first quarter and a 36-16 advantage at intermission. Plentywood struck for 18 more points in the third quarter for a 54-23 advantage.

Dawson Bergum led Culbertson with eight points.

Also scoring for the Cowboys were Micah Eagleboy with four, Donte Eagleboy with three, Bridger Salvevold with three, Nyreece Halvorson with three and Mark Kirkaldie with two points.
