Culbertson/Bainville Runners Fare Well At Home Meet
Culbertson/Bainville’s Anna Steppler finished in first place during the Culbertson Invitational held in chilly weather conditions on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Steppler a freshman, earned the top honor with a time of 20:38.5. Richey/ Lambert’s senior Brynne Hill placed second at 20:42.3.
Culbertson /Bainville placed second in the team standings with 19 points behind Poplar’s 11 points. Audrey Swallers of Culbertson/ Bainville finished in ninth place with a time of 22:43.4. Rebekah Ellerkamp was 14th at 23:33.7.
Bella Petersen finished in 23rd at 25:04.0. Jade Lonebear took 25th at 25:13.0.
Culbertson/Bainville took seventh in the boys’ division with 57 points. Poplar won the title with 10 points.
Plentywood’s Dean Sampsen was the overall winner at 17:10.1.
Cal Steppler of Culbertson/ Bainville took eighth at 17:57.3.
Arlie Purvis was 23rd with a time of 20:26.56. Logan Telck placed 40th at 23:15.7.
Froid/Lake’s Lane Bakken placed 15th with a time of 19:21.2.
The state cross country meet takes place in Missoula on Saturday, Oct. 25.
