Runners Place At Poplar Invitational

Cross country athletes from Culbertson/Bainville and Froid/Lake were among the competitors at the Poplar Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 6.

In the boys’ division, Cal Steppler of Culbertson/Bainville placed fourth with a time of 19:06.32.

Also placing for Culbertson/ Bainville were Arlie Purvis in 19th at 22:11.07, Gunner Glas in 30th at 23:53.07 and Logan Telck in 31st at 24:21.78.

Colton Glas took 37th at 26:38.26 and Soren Batt was 38th at 27:19.48.

In the girls’ division, leading Culbertson/Bainville were Anna Steppler in fifth place at 22:57.30 and Audrey Swallers in sixth place at 23:19.07.

Rebekah Ellerkamp finished 21st at 25:49.80. Jade LoneBear was 26th at 26:40.01.

Leading Froid/Lake’s boys was Lane Bakken in 17th place at 21:42.95.

Bryce Murray placed 26th at 23:01.78. Easton Marottek took 33rd at 24:39.18.
