Participants Place At Culbertson Rodeo

 

Fans enjoyed the action at the two-day Frontier Days’ rodeo held in Culbertson Friday and Saturday.

Kelly Murnion of Jordan was a double winner as he took first in bareback with a score of 66 and bull riding with a score of 73.

Wibaux’s Trey Knight earned first in saddle bronc at 55 while Ashland’s Joseph O’Connell was second at 52. Glasgow’s Jack Cornwell took top honors in steer wrestling with a time of 17.3 seconds.

The Williston, N.D., team of Trent Panasuk and Michael Manzanares finished first in team roping at 7.9 seconds. JR Winter and Shane Bessette of Great Falls were second at 8.5.

Poplar’s Heather Crowley finished first in barrels at 17.48 seconds. Miles City’s Chalee Harms placed second at 18.22 and Helena’s Julie Brown took third at 18.26. Wolf Point’s Karli McGowan finished fourth at 18.36 seconds and Wolf Point’s Jill Ferdina was fifth at 18.83 seconds.

Kolby Sperry of Trotters, N.D. and Sidney’s Grady Larson tied for top honors in tie down roping at 12.3 seconds. Lewistown’s Aden Zoanni was third at 12.7 and Sidney’s Drew Ellingson took fourth at 13.3.

Havre’s Kyla Burchard was the winner in ladies breakaway at 2.0 seconds. Miles City’s Chalee Harms was second at 2.1 and Glasgow’s Bailey Billingsley took third at 2.6.

In junior barrels, Glendive’s Quincey Langan finished first at 18.84 seconds. Sidney’s Zoie Burns placed second at 19.51 and Glasgow’s Blaire Billingsley was third at 20.07.

Glendive’s Easton Diegel earned first in junior breakaway at 3.1 and Sidney’s Lauren Youngquist was second at 3.4. Kalispell’s Zoey Bruyer took third at 3.6 and Sidney’s Emma Youngquist placed fourth at 4.0.
