Cowboys, Bulldogs Score At Glendive Meet Cowboys, Bulldogs Score At Glendive Meet

Culbertson and Bainville each scored in double figures at the Shriners Invitational track meet in Glendive on Friday, April 25.

Culbertson’s boys accounted for 22 points for 10th place in the large meet. Bainville’s girls finished with 15 points for 14th place.

Reese Moon finished fourth in the 100-meter dash at 11.64 seconds and fourth in the 200 at 23.56 seconds for the Cowboys.

Javelin was a strong event for the Cowboys as Brooks Solem placed fourth at 157-0 and Gavin Deen earned fifth at 156-7.

Bridger Salvevold finished fifth in the 100 at 11.74 seconds. Solem cleared 5-8 in the high jump for fifth place.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Harrison Green, Snyder, Salvevold and Moon finished in fourth place with a time of 44.94 seconds.

Taking seventh were Plenny Williams in the discus and Deen in the shot put.

Having personal bests for Culbertson were Rebekah Ellerkamp in the 400 and 3200, Stella Fox in the 1600, Moon in the 200, Snyder in the 200, Green in the 400, Mauricio Mena in the 400, Cal Steppler in the 400 and 3200, Arlie Purvis in the 800, Colin Purvis in the 1600, Solem in the 300-meter hurdles and javelin, Aden Drake in the 110-meter hurdles and Deen in the shot put and javelin.

Bainville’s Elsie Wilson placed third in the long jump with a mark of 16-10 and fifth in the 100 at 13.9 seconds.

Hailey Berwick finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:02.32.

Miah Pippenger took fifth in the shot put with a personal best of 33-10.

Addison Hansen placed sixth in the discus with a personal best of 102-9.

Bainville’s girls’ 400-meter relay team featuringn Casey Myers, Wilson, Lila Butikofer and Berwick broke the school record with a time of 53.52 seconds.

In the boys’ division, Kaiden Holmes finished fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:10.9.

Personal bests for the Bulldogs were Kyn Beery in the 100, Evan Anderson in the 100 and 1600, Austin Eveland in the 200 and 400, Holmes in the 400, Parker Berwick in the 400, Pippenger in the 100 and shot put, Myers in the 200 and javelin, Hannah Tholborn in the 400, Hansen in the shot put and discus and Butikofer in the shot put.

Froid/Lake athletes earning personal bests were Leah Murray in the 800 and 1600, Rebecca Nelson in the 400 and Rylan Young in the 110-meter hurdles.
