Athletes Score At Watford City Meet
Bainville and Froid/Lake competed at a large track meet in Watford City, N.D., on Tuesday, April 8.
Bainville scored 32 points in the girls’ varsity division. Froid/Lake finished with three points in the girls’ varsity division.
Elsie Wilson led the Bulldogs with a first-place effort in the long jump at 17-8. The senior broke her own school record.
Wilson took fourth in the triple jump at 33-1 and sixth in the 100 with a time of 13.34 seconds. Hailey Berwick captured second place in the javelin with a best of 100-9.
Johnna Ryder took third in the shot put with a mark of 29-11. Casey Myers earned fourth in the javelin at 75-2. Addison Hansen placed sixth in the discus at 96-3.
A highlight for Froid/Lake was the girls’ 800-meter relay team placing sixth with a time of 1:59.20. Running the relay were Isabelle Nordwick, Murray, Keira Stentoft and Mara Salvevold.
At the JV level, Murray took second in the javelin at 76-9. Jordyn Breuer took fourth in the 800 at 2:54.29.
For Froid/Lake’s boys’ JVs, Rylan Young took second in the triple jump at 34-5 and Brennen Roseleip finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 23.89 seconds.
