Red Hawks Place In Sidney

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored 21 points in the boys’ division and 24 points in the girls’ division during track action in Sidney on Saturday, May 7.
Carolyne Christoffersen captured first in the javelin with a best of 111-3 for a school record.. She placed second in the shot put at 37-1 and fifth in the discus at 87-6.
Kadence Hernandez cleared 4-6 for fourth place in the high jump.
In the boys’ division, Max Engelke placed third in the 300-meter hurdles at 47.27 seconds, fifth in the 200 at 26.85 and fifth in the 400 at 57.04 seconds.
Joseph Robertson finished fifth in the 800 at 2:21.53.
The 400-meter relay team of Engelke, Robertson, Roberto Orozco and Landen Kelm finished second with a time of 49.49 seconds.
Xavier Gregor took sixth in the 1600 at 5:53.72. Robertson took ninth in the 400 at 61.10.
