Wolf Point Clean-Sweep Set For April 18-30


Clean Sweep anti-litter efforts are winding up for spring. Barbara Olson told the Northern Plains Independent that the landfill will be accepting clean sweep trash at no charge April 18-30. The landfill will also be open on Sunday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your landfill card if you have one. Appliances requiring freon removal will be charged a $10 removal fee. Piocos Runs Unopposed For County Attorney Position


After being appointed the Roosevelt County attorney last February by the Roosevelt County Commissioners, Frank Piocos is running unopposed for the position in this year’s election. “I filed the first day,” Piocos said of his interest in serving as county attorney. Prior to becoming the county attorney, Piocos served as deputy county attorney under Jim Patch and then under Austin Knudsen.
