Wolves Fare Well At Glasgow Wrestling Meet

Many of many wrestlers being ill in the area, Wolf Point’s high mixer was canceled last week. Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball squad stopped Roundup, 74-0, in Lockwood on Saturday, Dec. 10. The Lady Wolves earned 21 points in the opening quarter. Gorder Pins College Opponent

Freshman Jazmin Gorder of Poplar is off to a great start for Minot State College’s women’s wrestling program. Gorder earned the first pin for the new women’s wrestling program during the Beavers’ home debut. During the Waldorf Open tournament held in Forest City, Iowa, she placed sixth at 116 pounds with a 3-3 record.

The Frazer Bearcubs dropped both of their basketball games against MonDak on Saturday, Dec. 10. In the girls’ contest, the Bearcubs lost by a 60-21 final. The Bearcubs trailed by only a 7-5 margin at the end of the opening quarter, but the Thunder struck for 22 points in the second quarter for a 29-11 lead.
