The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved a pay raise for non-elected officials during their meeting on Thursday, June 30. The raise amounts to a 2.75 percent increase. Commissioner Gordon Oelkers also proposed increasing the salary of the IT, road department and GIS heads to 92 percent of the clerk and recorder’s salary. Oil Revenue Increasing For County

Although it’s far from a boom, Roosevelt County has experienced a lift from increased oil activity during the last several months. Creator’s Game organizers have scheduled a family fun day at the Wadopana Grounds in Wolf Point July 7. It will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All ages are welcome with consent from parents and/or guardians. Froid/Lake, Bainville Squads Compete At Major Softball Tournament

The Froid/Lake and Bainville softball teams each competed hard during the major softball league tournament held in Plentywood on Monday, June 27. Froid/Lake placed third and Bainville took fourth in the six-team tournament. Wolf Point came away with first-place honors. After falling to Bainville in the opening round, Froid/ Lake bounced back with a 21-6 victory over Crosby in loser-out action.
