The Froid Town Council held their regular meeting Monday, Feb. 8. The council agreed to restart the annexation process begun in 2012. It has become apparent that several properties receiving town services have not officially been annexed into the town’s tax base. The Richland County Fair Board consists of five dedicated board members who are appointed by the county commissioners to assist with planning, implementing and following through with the annual fair along with many tasks along the way. Dorreen Brown, 57, of Wolf Point died Feb. 1, 2021, in Poplar. A viewing will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the Red Eagle Church in Fort Kipp. Interment will follow at Fort Kipp Cemetery. Bainville’s girls’ basketball squad fell short in Circle, 60-34, on Saturday, Feb. 6. Circle gained a 16-7 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 32-16 at the half. The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored an impressive 47-44 victory at Malta on Friday, Feb. 5. The game was deadlocked at 32-32 after three quarters of play, but Malta gained a 37-34 lead early in the fourth quarter.
