Seven individuals filed as candidates for public offices during the first eligible day on Thursday, Jan. 13. An eighth filed Friday, Jan. 14.
Incumbent Jason Frederick and challenger Brent Nygard each filed for the office of sheriff.
Appointed county attorney Frank Piocos filed to serve in that position.
Edward L. Bach filed to run for the office of country commissioner for district 3.

The undefeated Red Hawks were up 46-38 after three quarters of play and that margin was cut to 46-40 when Bainville’s Jesse Strickland drove in for a basket to open the fourth period.
