Froid/Lake Girls Outscore Brockton

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks controlled the first half and knocked off Brockton, 53-31, in girls’ basketball action on Saturday, Jan. 21.

The Red Hawks jumped out to a 17-6 advantage in the first quarter and increased the margin to 33-9 during the second quarter. Froid/Lake held a 49-16 lead after three quarters of play.

Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Baylee Davidson with 18 and Dasani Nesbit with 14 points. Also scoring were Mara Salvevold with five, Avery Johnson with five, Addison Elvsaas with four, Brooklyn Nordwick with four and Isabelle Nordwick with three.

Ava Lone Bear led the Warriors with 11 points. KayJay First That Walks added six points.

The Red Hawks play at Fairview on Friday, Jan. 27, and host MonDak on Saturday, Jan. 28.
