Area Teams Compete At Culbertson Tournament
The fourth annual basketball tournament in Culbertson was a success during the weekend.
The Bearstail team from Bismarck, N.D., earned top honors in the third-fourth grade division.
Top teams in the fifth-sixth grade girls’ division were 3M Company in first and the Cagers in second.
For fifth and sixth-grade boys, the Powers Lake Ranchers came away with first and the Rangers from Culbertson

Culbertson Players Compete In All-Star Game
The Red team, which included players from Culbertson, downed the Blue team, 46-30, in the 38th Bob Cleverley Eight-Man All-Star Football Game on Saturday, June 4.
Culbertson’s Kyler Kempton scored on a four-yard run in the victory.
Playing from Culbertson in the contest were James Kirkaldie, Kempton, Aiden Perkins and Zachary O’Neill. Brian Manning served as an assistant coach.

Agland Team Defeats Wolf Point
The Froid Agland Babe Ruth team edged Wolf Point in both baseball contests held in Wolf Point on Friday, June 3.
Agland jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first inning and added 13 runs in the second inning during the first game.
Agland won the game by a 23-2 final.
Wolf Point played much better in the second game and gained a 4-0 advantage in the first inning.

Christoffersen, Perkins Earn Honors At State Meet
The performances of Froid/Lake’s Carolyne Christoffersen and Culbertson’s Aiden Perkins were highlights for Roosevelt County at the Class C state track meet held in Great Falls.
Christoffersen, a junior, captured the state championship in the shot put with a mark of 37-4.
“My goal was to win,” Christoffersen said. “It would had been nice to get a PR.”

Area Athletes Advance During Eastern C Divisional Meet
Culbertson, Froid/Lake and Bainville each enjoyed strong efforts during the Eastern C divisional track meet held in Glasgow on Wednesday, May 18.
Culbertson’s boys earned fourth place at the meet with 65 points. The top three teams were Richey/Lambert with 103, Plentywood with 98 and Scobey with 93.
