Cowgirls Edge Red Hawks For League Win


Culbertson’s volleyball squad came back to win an exciting five-set conference match over Froid/Lake on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The Cowgirls posted a 1625, 24-26, 25-18, 25-12, 15-7, league victory. In the fifth and deciding set, Culbertson opened with an ace by Ayden Ator. The Red Hawks tied the score on a kill by Atley Jensen. The Culbertson Cowboys came out fired up and never looked back in their 41-6 conference football victory over Ekalaka at home on Friday, Oct. 3. Cowgirls Earn Victory Over Lustre Squad


Culbertson fought off Lustre in a non-conference volleyball match that went four sets in Lustre on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The Cowgirls came away with a 25-15, 18-25, 25-15, 25-19 victory. The serving of Stella Fox and net play of Catherine Donaldson led Culbertson to an 18-8 advantage in the first set. The Lions were able to battle back to 19-13 on aces by Hannah Brown and a kill by Aleah Fast.

Red Hawks Fall Short To Terry


The Froid/Lake Red Hawks put up a strong fight in the first half but lost at home against Terry, 49-26, during six-man football action on Saturday, Oct. 4. After Terry reached the end zone on its first possession of the conference contest, the Red Hawks hit paydirt late in the quarter when Aaron Orozco threw the ball across the field to Carsen Kelm and the play resulted in a 68-yard touchdown
