Culbertson’s great run at the District 2C boys’ basketball tournament came to an end as the Cowboys were defeated by Plentywood, 63-29, in the title game on Saturday, Feb. 17. Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball squad earned third place at the District 2C tournament in Sidney with a 42-36 victory over Savage on Saturday, Feb. 17. Froid/Lake gained a lead in the third quarter and held on for a 54-49 victory over Bainville in a District 2C boys’ basketball battle on Friday, Feb. 16. Bulldogs Score Victory Over Savage


A fast start helped the Bainville Bulldogs punch a ticket to the divisional tournament and a berth in the district championship game when Bainville’s girls downed Savage by a 44-35 final on Thursday, Feb. 15. It was the first time that the Bulldogs qualified for the Eastern C girls’ basketball tournament since 2006 and the first time the Bulldogs made the district title game since 1998.
