Bainville Girls Win District 2C Championship
For the first time since 1993, the Bainville Bulldogs are the champions of the District 2C girls’ basketball tournament.

Bainville Stop Savage In Semi-Final Round
After a tight first half, the Bainville Bulldogs emerged with a 57-37 semi-final round win over Savage in the District 2C girls’ basketball tourney on Thursday.
Holding a slim 27-26 halftime lead, the Bulldogs stepped up their defensive play in the third quarter and accounted for the first 13 points of the second half.

Red Hawks Down Plentywood, 44-42
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks pulled off a 44-42 upset victory over Plentywood during the semi-final round of the District 2C girls’ basketball tournament on Thursday night.
The Red Hawks were ahead by only a 23-20 margin early in the third quarter but then struck for the game’s next 12 points. A free throw by Brooklynn Nordwick, a 17-footer by Addison Elvsaas and a free throw by Mara Salvevold

Red Hawks Earn Win Over Brockton
Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball team scored a 53-44 opening round victory over Brockton in the district tournament on Wednesday.
After falling behind 12-9 in the opening quarter, the Red Hawks ran off 20 points in the second quarter to grab a 29-22 lead.
Froid/Lake held a 38-32 advantage after three quarters of action.

Cowboys Place Third At District 2C Tournament
The Culbertson Cowboys took control in the second half to defeat MonDak, 56-44, in the third-place game of the District 2C tournament in Sidney on Saturday.
The Cowboys struggled with a slow start as MonDak held a 15-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 19-16 half-time advantage.
MonDak opened the third quarter with hoops by Thomas Arnson and TC Swenson to gain a 23-16 lead.
