The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 96 calls from March 31 to April 7. The calls included the following: April 1 Deputies responded at 3:07 p.m. to the Val-Am store in Culbertson after a vehicle ran into the east end of the store. The driver provided his license and insurance, and the driver was sober. No one was injured. The Montana Highway Patrol assisted with the call.

Legislators are considering a proposal to invest in suicide prevention for Montana veterans, an effort proponents say will help to mitigate high rates of suicide in the veteran population. Sen. The Department of Public Health and Human Services will honor Montana’s centenarians during the 56th annual Governor’s Conference on Aging on Sept. 16, during a noon luncheon. The annual conference will take place at the Great Northern Hotel in Helena. DPHHS is asking Montanans who will turn 100 on or before Dec. 31, 2025, and those who are currently over the age of 100 to submit their name
