By Bill Vander Weele The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved the county’s budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year during a meeting Thursday, Sept. 7. The budget increased by only 1.35 percent compared to last year. “Nobody’s budget got cut,” commissioner Gordon Oelkers said. Commissioner Robert Toavs added that there were no big subtractions or additions to the budget.

The Montana Department of Transportation has released its Statewide Transportation Improvement Program plans for 2023-2027. The plan includes $556.9 million for construction/reconstruction during the years.
