City Council Talks Custer Street Improvements

The Wolf Point City Council held its regular meeting Monday, Sept. 18.

Brianna Vine from Great Northern Development Corp. gave the council an update about Custer Street improvements.

She suggested the council pass a six-month extension on grant funding expenditures. Council members suggested a nine-month extension.

Vine said she would inquire about the plausibility of a nine-month timeline extension on the projects.

Bill Juve’s request for property line adjustments is in process, said Vine, adding that quit claim deeds needed have progressed to the Valley County Abstract office.

Mark Eggebrecht was approved for gazebo maintenance at $500 per year.

A motion was passed approving the Wolf Point High School homecoming parade.

Greg Lukasik from Great West Engineering gave the council an update about the lift station, which will require additional funding. Match funds will be required, said Lukasik. A draw request related to wastewater system improvements was approved for $716,641.

Claims and payroll were approved for August. Clerk/ treasurer Jhona Peterson submitted activity reports, revenue and expense reports, Treasurer’s cash report and securities.

The next regular meeting is set for Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
