Our sympathies are extended to the family of Wayne Dahl in his death Sept 7. Sarah, his youngest daughter, is one of the Lustre Christian High School students. His funeral was Saturday at the Gospel Fellowship Church in Wolf Point.

An alumnus of LCHS, Abby Curl gave her testimony at the gazebo in Wolf Point at an event held in the park. She attended LCHS as a freshman student “just when COVID came.” She “gained so much from the classes that year that she became very burdened to return to Wolf Point to finish her schooling in order to reach out to her WPHS classmates.” It meant “listening a lot more and being available to help kids in need.” A friend established a prayer meeting that met consistently and it made “a big difference in her life.” Curl is preparing to join Youth With A Mission, also known as YWAM. She was a face painter in the children’s program that day.

Stands were full at the Frontier gym as the Lustre grade school volleyball teams battled. Grades 5-7 played first, winning their match 2519 and 26-24 in exciting play. The fifth and sixth graders played the final game with Frontier winning 14-10. The seventh and eighth graders played next, with Frontier winning the match 25-20 and a close final.

The wheat harvest continues and we are thankful for the beautiful fall weather. Temps have ranged from 4482, averaging in the low 70s.
