The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 59 calls from Jan. 23-29. Fort Peck Tribes Depart- ment of Law and Justice Chief of Police Lewis Matthews reports that there was a death in the tribal jail that occurred on Thursday, Jan. 25. The incident is being investigated by the FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the FBI has determined the driver in the fatality crash that happened on Dec. 23, 2023, near Fort Kipp. Katelyn Yuzzicappi, 24, has admitted to being the driver in the crash.
