Individuals Place During Area Rodeo Action


Northern Rodeo Association competitions were held in Culbertson and Poplar during the weekend. Culbertson held its Frontier Days rodeos on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13. Event winners included Ekalaka’s Tucker Tooke in saddle bronc, Glendive’s Ben Ayre in steer wrestling and Seth Berg of Mandah, N.D., in bareback riding. Ayre also earned first in tie-down roping with a time

Local Bigler, 14, tried his hand at the bareback bronc riding event both nights at the Frontier Days Rodeo in Culbertson this weekend. Bigler attended the Creator’s Game Bronc Riding Clinic at the Poplar Rodeo Grounds in May and learned from expert riders how to participate safely and successfully.
