Poplar Will Hold Fourth Of July Celebration


Poplar will celebrate Fourth of July with a Independence Day Parade at Legion hall at 11:30 a.m. There will be prizes for first through third place. All individuals are encouraged to join in by decorating a float, driving a hot rod, pulling a wagon or riding a bike. Face painting and watermelon follows the parade. The Poplar Volunteer Fire Department and Fort Peck Tribal Elves will hold

Shakespeare In The Park Entertains Residents


With a forecast of possible thunderstorms in the area, the Montana Shakespeare in the Park troupe made sure that the show must go on for the performance in Wolf Point on Friday, June 26. Sam Cheeseman, tour manager, said part of the reason for the decision to move the Wolf Point show inside was that the performance the previous night in Malta couldn’t be completed because of a heavy rainstorm.

Yellowjackets Win League Softball Championship

Yellowjackets Win League Softball Championship


The Wolf Point Yellowjackets pulled through with come-from-behind victories to win the championship at the Big Muddy softball tournament held in Plentywood last week. Wolf Point opened action with a hard-fought 14-13 victory over Poplar. Trailing by two runs, the Yellowjackets enjoyed a strong start in the final inning when Mattie Azure reached on a bunt and came around to score. Marley

Burn Simulation Training Held At RMC

Burn Simulation Training Held At RMC


Members of the Simulation in Motion-Montana medical training team recently spent the day in Culbertson running a full burn simulation for local EMS and hospital staff. The event included a combination of outdoor and indoor scenarios and treatments at Roosevelt Medical Center. SIM-MT is an emergency training company that travels across the state to bring training opportunities to many EMS groups
