Two Men Shot In Poplar

After two males were hospitalized from gunshot wounds in Poplar on Wednesday, Oct. 7, the Roosevelt County Sheri’s O e and Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement announced that two individuals were apprehended.

According to a report from the two agencies, two adult males were reported to have been shot in Poplar at 8:30 p.m.

At that time, law enforcement detained one of the two suspects. The other subject was apprehended at about 11:30 p.m.

Lewis Matthews, chief of police for the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice, reported that Rusty Boxer Jr. was arrested. Information on the second suspect was unavailable.

Agencies reported that no o ers were injured.
