Culbertson’s volleyball squad came back to win an exciting five-set conference match over Froid/Lake on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The Cowgirls posted a 1625, 24-26, 25-18, 25-12, 15-7, league victory. Poplar’s football squad enjoyed a tremendous start in its homecoming football game against Plentywood but lost by a 56-26 final on Thursday, Oct. 9. Ricker Competes In Ironman Triathlon


Area athlete Darryl Ricker competed in the Tri-Cities Ironman Triathlon in Richland, Wash., on Sept. 21. The Ironman consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13-mile run. “I completed the swim in 35 minutes and completed 49 miles on the bike. But due to weather conditions, I was unable to make the bike cutoff,” Ricker said. “I competed for five hours and 30 minutes total.
