Annett Enjoys Time In Culbertson’s Music Program
Culbertson High School’s senior Owen Annett has accomplished success and found enjoyment with the school’s band program.
He has played the trombone for the last eight years.
“I like the way it sounds and looks,” Annett said of the trombone.
One of his highlights was qualifying for the state music festival last year. He and Josue Mena performed a duo on their trombones.
During Annett’s free time, he likes to listen to all genres of music.
He also does a good amount of reading fictional books. “I enjoy them all,” Annett said of book topics.
His favorite class in school is history. “I like the way Mr. Solem teaches, and I’m really interested in it,” Annett said of the subject.
His favorite teacher is David Solem.
“He knows how to interact with students,” Annett said. “He treats everyone good.”
After high school, he plans to either attend trade school or college.
A possible career path is welding. He enjoyed a class involving welding last year.
