Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

 

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 123 calls from May 20-26.

The calls included the following: May 20

Deputies responded to a dispute in Culbertson regarding two males arguing over equipment. One of the males, Richard Damon, 44, of Poplar was arrested on authority of a warrant and taken to Roosevelt County jail.

May 21

Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice for a stabbing incident at the Poplar airport addition. The victim had a cut on his forearm. He claimed a female stabbed him in the arm. The suspect then showed up. She was detained and interviewed by Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice.

Deputies responded after a report of someone making threats outside the Buckhorn Bar. A male said another male threatened to drive a vehicle into his truck. The second male was referred to tribal court for a restraining order.

May 22

Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a domestic violence report. A male who called said he was bleeding from near his eye. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, the male was no longer there.

Deputies assisted the Poplar Fire Department with a vehicle fire on BIA 1. Law enforcement couldn’t find any occupants of the vehicle.

Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police after a male said he was stabbed in the alley near Granville Street. Law enforcements couldn’t locate suspects.

May 23

Deputies responded to near the state line when a construction company complained that drivers were not slowing down where work was being conducted. Deputies stayed for a while to monitor traffic.

Deputies responded to Poplar where two females were arguing regarding a pit bull. While deputies were talking to one of the females, she passed out and the Poplar ambulance was called for medical assistance.

May 24

Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department regarding the report of an assault. The victim was from Washington state. He said he was attacked by two males on Custer Street and had $80 stolen. He didn’t want to press charges.

May 26

Deputies received a report regarding an argument between a male and female in Fort Kipp. There were no injuries. A family member took the female to another residence.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s report activity statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, three; Wolf Point FPHA area, two; Poplar city limits, 44; Poplar rural, 11; Poplar FPHA all other, seven; Poplar FPHA airport addition, three; Culbertson town, six; Culbertson rural, 11; Bainville town, two; Bainville rural, eight; Brockton town, three; Brockton rural, four; Fort Kipp, 10; total, 123.
