Wild Horse Stampede To Celebrate 102 Years

 

The Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede will celebrate its 102nd year July 9-12. The weekend festivities will start Wednesday evening, July 9, with a pitchfork fondue from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Big Sky Corral, followed by the Wild Horse Ranch Rodeo at 6 p.m., then dance to the music of Kenny Feidler, all located at Marvin Brookman Stadium.

Grand marshals chosen for the 102nd is past Wild Horse Stampede committee members Roger and Ruby Nygaard.

PRCA Rodeo action will be held each evening at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 10; Friday July 11; and Saturday, July 12.

Other events and festivities include the “Rodeo: A Family Game Night” two-day parade, all-class reunion, carnival, the famous Catholic Hamburger Stand on Main Street, Stampede Fun Run, Thursday TETWP Stampede Roundup Golf Tournament and Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night, street dances, museum pancake breakfast, rodeo event calcutta each night pre rodeo and Wild Horse Race calcutta, kids’ stick horse rodeo hosted by Miss Rodeo Montana and Saturday Night concert by Olivia Harms and the Roadrunners held at Marvin Brookman Stadium, bouncy houses during Art in the Park.
