Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 113 calls from May 5-12.
The calls included the following: May 7
Deputies received a call from Bainville regarding a break-in. The party said he will provide deputies with a list of items missing.
Deputies received a report from a mother in Poplar that someone broke into her son’s vehicle.
Deputies responded to Tande Grocery in Poplar for a request to remove two males from the front of the store. The males were “blackballed” from the business. The males later returned again. Breon Dupree, 41, was issued notice to appear in tribal court for loitering.
Deputies received a report of disorderly conduct in Poplar. Someone broke out a vehicle’s window.
May 8
A male reported that his vehicle was stolen from in front of his house in Poplar. Deputies later located the vehicle. The investigation continues.
Deputies and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice responded to the Legion Bar in Poplar to have an adult female removed.
May 10
When talking outside, deputies heard a vehicle crash in Poplar. They then saw a vehicle being driven recklessly. Tamara Jefferson, 41, was charged in tribal court with driving under the influence, driving without a license, reckless driving and not doing her duties after an accident.
Deputies, Montana Highway Patrol, FPTDLJ and Culbertson ambulance helped locate a missing juvenile male in Culbertson. FPTDLJ used its drone in the search that took about an hour.
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to an assault involving stab wounds in Poplar. A 17-year-old male was charged with aggravated assault and partner/family member assault in juvenile court.
May 11
Deputies received a report from a father that his two adult children were arguing. Once deputies arrived, they agreed to go separate ways.
May 12
Deputies responded of a female pushing down her grandmother in Fort Kipp. When the deputies arrived, the suspect was there, but not the victim. Deputies need to follow up.
