Wolf Point Fights Off Poplar In League Match


In a volleyball match that went down to the wire, Wolf Point came away with a five-set victory in Poplar on Thursday, Oct. 3. The Wolves won the league match by a 25-22, 15-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-12, final. In the fifth and deciding set, Poplar jumped out to a 6-0 lead on the serving of Rebecca Gorder and net play of Braelyn Nordwick. Down by a 6-1 margin, Wolf Point struck for the next seven points.

Bainville’s volleyball team lost a competitive volleyball match at Scobey on Friday, Oct. 4. The Bulldogs fell by a 15-25, 21-25, 18-25 final. Area Runners Fight Wind During Glasgow Meet


Poplar earned second place in both the boys’ and girls’ standings at the Glasgow Invitational held in Fort Peck on Saturday, Oct. 5. Poplar’s boys took second with 42 points while Harlem won the meet with 39 points. Glasgow placed third with 54 points. Harlem’s freshman Ethan Walker led the field with a time of 16:11.4.
