Red Hawks Open With Win Over Brockton

Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team gained the upper- hand in the second half to down Brockton, 48-38, in the first-round of the District 2C tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

The Red Hawks led by only a 16-15 half-time margin, but Froid/Lake ran off 17 points in the third quarter for a 33-26 advantage. Mason Dethman scored nine points and Landon Kelm hit two three-pointers in the period.

The Red Hawks then scored 15 points in the fourth period as Dethman did all the scoring for the Red Hawks.

Dethman finished with 29 points and 21 rebounds in the contest.

Kelm added nine points. Also scoring were Nate Stentoft with six, Joseph Robertson with two and Cody Olson with two points. Stentoft grabbed nine rebounds and had five assists.

Top scorers for Brockton were Jarid Fast Horse Jr. with nine points and Kameron Rattling Thunder with eight points. Also scoring were Quannah First Hat Walks with six, Colter Nygard with six, Ronnie Black Dog with four, Josh Firemoon with four and Miles Boxer with one.
