Roosevelt County is tied for 47th place in the state with an unemployment rate of 3.7 percent during October. The county has 4,190 residents employed, which is 80 less than a year ago. Also tied for 47th place at 3.7 percent are Chouteau, Wheatland and Wibaux counties. Fallon is the county with the lowest unemployment at 1.9 percent followed by McCone at 2 percent and Daniels at 2.1

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 60 calls from Nov. 21-27.
